Ground Search Capabilities · Hasty Search (Type I Grid) · Open Grid (Type II Grid) · Closed Grid (Type III Grid) · Clue/Evidence Preservation and Collection · Communications Relay Search Management As a Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Council certified Level One team, we operate under the ICS and NIMS systems with the: · Required overhead staff · Command equipment · Communications infrastructure · Medical and evacuation kits · Base equipment including a command vehicle to manage most wilderness search operations Communications Our communications infrastructure includes base station two-way radios capable of VHF (high band), and UHF that can communicate with: PA State Police (if approved) | Regional & Local Law Enforcement | 911 Centers, Life Flight | Other SAR Teams | DCNR Bald Eagle State Park | Mifflin County 911 Center | Any Civil Air Patrol Aircraft, Ground Team, or Land Station | R.A.C.E.S, Nittany Amateur Radio Club or any HAM Radio Operator | Boaters in Distress | US Coast Guard Auxiliary |
